What your AI can do with SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle

One connection gives your assistant structured, permission-checked access to the whole site.

Placeholder clean-up

Find Lorem ipsum and stock labels in a draft page's widgets and replace them with your copy.

Price tables

Change plan prices, names, buttons and feature lists, column by column.

Contact forms

Set who gets the messages, the subject line and the thank-you message.

FAQ accordions

Add questions and answers to the end of an accordion.

Page inventory

Every SiteOrigin widget on a page, nested ones too, with its settings.

Things to ask

Paste any of these into Claude or ChatGPT once SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle is connected.

“Replace the placeholder text on my draft home page with copy about my bakery.”
“On my draft pricing page, make the Family plan $64 a month and add Free night guard to it.”
“Make the contact form on my draft contact page send to [email protected].”
“Add a question about parking to the FAQ on my draft About page.”

Up and running in three steps

1

Install WPVibe

Add the free WPVibe plugin from WordPress.org to the site running SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle.

2

Connect your AI

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and more. One click to authorize, and no passwords ever go in the chat.

3

Ask in plain English

“Replace the placeholder text on my draft home page with copy about my bakery.”

Verified SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle recipes

Copy-paste playbooks, each one tested on a live SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle install before it ships.

Every SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle ability

SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle registers these with the WordPress Abilities API under the sowb namespace. Your AI finds them with discover_abilities and calls them with run_ability. WPVibe asks for your approval only when an ability is marked destructive and deletes something or runs code; everything else runs as soon as your AI calls it. Verified means we ran it on a live install of v1.75.0. Registered means a fresh install of v1.75.0 ships it and we have not run it yet.

Requires SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle 1.75.0 or newer on WordPress 6.9 or newer, and an account that can edit the page. The abilities are on as soon as the plugin is active. Tested on SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle 1.75.0 (free) with WordPress 7.1.3.

What we learned testing it

Behavior the ability descriptions do not mention.

  • SiteOrigin's tools change widgets on draft and pending pages only and refuse published ones. Reading works on any page. Make changes to a live page in the block editor.
  • These tools see SiteOrigin widget blocks in the block editor, including inside Group and Columns blocks. Widgets inside synced patterns are not reached through the page, and widgets inside a Page Builder by SiteOrigin layout are not widget blocks, so they are not seen (see <a href="/works-with/siteorigin-panels/">Page Builder by SiteOrigin</a>).
  • Changing any field re-saves the whole widget. A rich-text box saved from the visual editor is then cleaned again as if newly typed: in our test, changing only an Editor widget's title removed a Google Maps embed from its text and stopped a gallery shortcode working. The recipes look for embeds, scripts, forms and shortcodes first and leave such widgets to you.
  • Lists inside a widget (features, plans, FAQ panels, testimonials) are changed by position. An empty item or an empty list sent by mistake clears it, so the recipes address items by number and clear a list only to rewrite it.
  • Text the AI writes is cleaned as post content whatever your role, and shortcodes in it are turned off (SiteOrigin stores the brackets as full-width brackets).
  • A widget type switched off under Plugins, SiteOrigin Widgets cannot be changed until it is switched on again; these tools never switch widgets on.
  • Changes run without WPVibe's approval page. The recipes show you each change and wait for your yes, and when revisions are on every change saves a revision of the page.

Verified, and kept that way

Works with AI is WPVibe’s verification program. Every ability marked verified was run on a live SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle install, and we rescan WordPress.org weekly so a release that adds or removes abilities shows up here before it surprises you.
