Give a Landing Page Its Own Header in Elementor with AI

Strip the menu off one landing page, or drop the header completely, without touching the rest of your site.

Difficulty Beginner
Time ~10 min

Prerequisites

A site connected to WPVibe running Elementor (free is enough) and Ultimate Addons for Elementor 2.9.5 or newer (tested on 2.9.5, the free version) on WordPress 6.9 or newer with a classic theme, with UAE's AI tools on: in wp-admin, UAE > Settings > AI Tools, switch on Enable Abilities and Enable Edit Abilities. A published site header made with UAE, or none if you only want to remove it.

The prompt
My WordPress site uses Elementor and the free Ultimate Addons for Elementor plugin (UAE). My landing page [page title or URL] should [have no header at all / have its own header with only my logo and a button that says X linking to Y].

1. Run discover_abilities with category hfe-templates. If no uae/ abilities come back, stop and tell me to turn them on in wp-admin: UAE > Settings > AI Tools, switch on Enable Abilities and Enable Edit Abilities. If an ability a later step needs is missing (run discover_abilities without a category to check), stop and tell me to switch on Enable Edit Abilities and that ability's own switch on the same screen.
2. Find the page with GET /wp/v2/pages?search=[title]&context=edit and tell me its ID and its current template (the template field; empty means the default). Run uae/templates-list with type type_header and status publish, and list every published header with its include, exclude and user rules.
3. No header at all: only if the page also appears in uae/pages-list (search [title], status any, per_page 100), which lists pages built with Elementor; if its ID is not there, tell me and stop. Tell me that Elementor Canvas also removes the footer and wait for my yes, then run uae/pages-update-meta with page_template elementor_canvas. Skip to step 7. If the header still shows there in step 7, that header has "Enable Layout for Elementor Canvas Template?" ticked in its settings in wp-admin: tell me to untick it.
4. Its own header: pick the published header that everyone sees on this page today (if there is a logged-in and a logged-out pair, the logged-out one) and copy it with uae/templates-duplicate (title "[page title] header"). The copy is a draft with the same display rules and user rules. For every widget you use, run uae/builder-get-schema (type widget, tab style for colors, tab content for text and links) and use only the setting keys it lists. UAE's own build examples name some keys that do nothing: the search icon color is toggle_color, the site title color is heading_color, the copyright text color is title_color. A key the widget doesn't have saves without an error and changes nothing. The Search widget's style schema is longer than one result can hold and gets cut off; use toggle_color for its icon color as given. Rebuild the copy with uae/builder-build (it replaces everything on that copy only). Show me what it contains with uae/shortcode-render, and list every other published header that covers this page with the exclusion you will add to it. Wait for my yes.
5. On my yes, set the copy's rules with uae/display-rules-update: include_locations {"rule": ["specifics"], "specific": ["post-[page ID]"]}, exclude_locations {"rule": [], "specific": []} and user_roles []. Then publish it with uae/templates-update and run uae/builder-regenerate-css on it.
6. For each header you listed in step 4, read its rules with uae/templates-get and add the page to its exclude_locations: keep every rule and specific it already has, add "specifics" to rule if it is missing, and add "post-[page ID]". display-rules-update replaces the whole field it is given, so send the full merged list.
7. Fetch the landing page and one other page with get_page_html and confirm the landing page has the right header (or, with Canvas, no header; the footer goes too unless a UAE footer has its Canvas option on) and the other page still has my site header. If that check fails, clear any page cache on my site and check again; if it still fails, set everything you published in this chat back to draft, undo any rule you changed, and tell me what you saw. Tell me how to undo: set the copy back to draft and remove the page from the other headers' exclusions, or set the page's template back to [the template from step 2] (uae/pages-update-meta takes default, elementor_header_footer or elementor_canvas; any other template is set in the page editor).

Skip pasting the full prompt. Drop this into your AI on a site that already has WPVibe:

Run the “Give a Landing Page Its Own Header in Elementor with AI” recipe from the WPVibe cookbook on my connected site.

A landing page converts better without the full menu pulling visitors away: a logo and one button, or no header at all. With a site-wide header from Ultimate Addons for Elementor, changing one page means another template and display rules that keep the two headers from fighting over it.

The AI looks at the page and your current header and offers the two options. No header at all switches the page to Elementor’s Canvas template. Its own header copies your site header as a draft, trims it to what you asked for, shows it to you, and only on your yes points it at that page and takes the page off your site header’s list.

UAE shows the newest matching header when two match a page, so the recipe excludes the page from every other header that covers it instead of relying on order. Canvas also removes the footer and is meant for pages built with Elementor. Need a site-wide header first? Start here.

Outcome

Your landing page shows its own trimmed header, or none, and every other page keeps the site header.
