Make WhatsApp chat links for your products with AI
One click-to-chat link per product or page, with a pre-filled message, for email, social and QR codes.
Prerequisites
A site connected to WPVibe with the free Joinchat plugin (tested on 6.4.1) active on WordPress 6.9 or newer, with an administrator account.
My site uses the free Joinchat plugin. Make me WhatsApp chat links I can use off my site (email, social bios, QR codes), one for each of these: [list products, pages or services, or "all my published products"].
Each link should open WhatsApp with a message like "[Hi, I have a question about {name}]".
1. Get my WhatsApp number with run_wp_cli option pluck joinchat telephone (administrators only). If it's empty or the command fails, ask me for my number with country code.
2. Find the items with rest_api: GET /wp/v2/product, /wp/v2/pages or /wp/v2/posts with status publish, fields id,title, link, meta, and search or per_page=100 (if 100 come back, get the next page too). If an item's meta._joinchat has its own telephone, use that number for its link. If there are more than 20, tell me how many and ask before going on.
3. For each item, run_ability joinchat/get-whatsapp-url with {"phone": "[my number]", "message": "[the message with that item's name]"}. Don't change anything on my site.
4. Give me a table: name, page link, WhatsApp link. Then show me the number in the links (the digits after wa.me/) and remind me to open one on my phone before sharing: it must be my full number with country code. For Argentina (+54) and Mexico (+52), Joinchat adds the extra 9 or 1 WhatsApp expects after the country code.
Skip pasting the full prompt. Drop this into your AI on a site that already has WPVibe:
Run the “Make WhatsApp chat links for your products with AI” recipe from the WPVibe cookbook on my connected site.
Your WhatsApp button only works on your website. In an email, an Instagram bio, a Google Business Profile or a QR code on a flyer, you need a plain link that opens a chat with your number and a message that says what the customer wants. Writing those by hand means encoding every space and comma, and one wrong digit sends people to a stranger.
Ask your AI assistant and it reads the number Joinchat already uses, then has Joinchat build one click-to-chat link per product or page, each with a pre-filled message naming that item. It changes nothing on your site. You get a table of names, pages and WhatsApp links, ready to paste.
Say which products, pages or services you want links for and how the message should read. Before you share the links, open one on your phone and check the chat goes to your number: the digits after wa.me/ must include your country code.
Outcome
A table of WhatsApp chat links, one per item, each opening a chat with your number and a message naming that item.
