Get an SEO Health Check from SiteSEO with AI

A plain-language SEO check of your site from SiteSEO, sorted into fix now, worth doing and fine to ignore.

Difficulty Beginner
Time ~5 min

Prerequisites

A site connected to WPVibe running SiteSEO 1.4.2 or newer (tested on 1.4.2, free) on WordPress 6.9 or newer, with an administrator account, and the Abilities - SiteSEO switch turned on under SiteSEO > AI Abilities.

The prompt
My WordPress site uses SiteSEO. Give me an SEO health check without changing anything.

1. Run discover_abilities with category siteseo-posts. If siteseo-posts/seo-data-get is not there, run rest_api GET /wp/v2/plugins with search siteseo. If SiteSEO is active, tell me its AI abilities are off until I turn on the Abilities - SiteSEO switch at the top of SiteSEO > AI Abilities in wp-admin (the MCP Adapter and Application Password steps on that page are not needed for WPVibe; if the switch is already on, the site needs SiteSEO 1.4.2 or newer and WordPress 6.9 or newer), and stop. If it is installed but not active, tell me to activate it and then turn on that switch, and stop. If it is not installed, tell me this recipe is for the free SiteSEO plugin, and stop.
2. Run siteseo-audit/site-get, siteseo-sitemap/status-get and siteseo-settings/get, and run_wp_cli option get blog_public, option get show_on_front and option get page_on_front.
3. Check, and explain each in a sentence without jargon:
- blog_public 0 means Discourage search engines is on under Settings > Reading. Ask me whether this is a staging site before calling it a problem.
- Modules: SiteSEO prints titles and descriptions only while settings.toggles toggle-titles is on, and robots tags only while toggle-titles is on and settings.advanced.appearance_adminbar_noindex is not true (in wp-admin, Remove noindex item from Admin Bar under SiteSEO > Advanced > Appearance). It prints og tags only while toggle-social and settings.social.social_facebook_og are on, and X tags only while social_twitter_card is on. Titles, descriptions, robots or og tags not printing is a fix-now item; X tags off is worth doing.
- settings.titles.titles_noindex true means SiteSEO tells search engines to skip the whole site. Any post type under settings.titles.titles_single_titles with noindex true is hidden from search.
- Sitemap: whether it is on, and which post types are ticked under settings.sitemap.xml_sitemap_post_types_list. Compare them with public_post_types from site-get and name the content types people would search for that are not in the sitemap (products, courses, events and the like; attachments and quiz or certificate pages are normally left out on purpose). Fetch the sitemap index URL with get_page_html and confirm it answers.
- Fetch [my site]/robots.txt and say whether anything in it blocks the whole site or the sitemap.
- Homepage: fetch the home page with get_page_html and read its title tag and meta description. If show_on_front is page, also run siteseo-audit/homepage-get: a null description there means the homepage page has none set. Flag an empty description tag.
- Run siteseo-posts/list-missing-seo with missing_fields ["description"], post_type ["post", "page"] and limit 100, paging with offset until offset reaches total (stop after the newest 2000 if total is larger, and say so), and tell me how many published posts and pages have no description of their own (total is every post checked, not the number missing).
4. Do not report SEO scores: the free plugin's abilities return no score, even for posts SiteSEO has analysed.
5. Group the findings into fix now (things that keep pages out of search or affect every page), worth doing, and fine to ignore. For each, say what to change and where in wp-admin. Change nothing.

Run the “Get an SEO Health Check from SiteSEO with AI” recipe from the WPVibe cookbook on my connected site.

An SEO plugin is installed once and then left alone. Meanwhile a switch gets flipped, a new kind of content never makes it into the sitemap, or the homepage goes out with an empty description, and nobody looks until traffic drops.

The AI reads SiteSEO’s settings and its own site audit, checks your homepage, sitemap and robots.txt as a visitor sees them, and counts how many posts and pages have no description. It sorts what it finds into fix now, worth doing and fine to ignore, in plain words, and tells you where each fix is in wp-admin.

It changes nothing. Everything here is a read, so it is safe to run on a live site as often as you like. To fill in the missing descriptions it finds, use this recipe.

Outcome

A short report of what in your SEO setup needs fixing first, and where to fix it.
