Every Duplicator ability
Duplicator registers these with the WordPress Abilities API under the duplicator namespace. Your AI finds them with discover_abilities and calls them with run_ability; writes go through WPVibe’s approval gate. Verified means we ran it on a live install of v5.0.2. Registered means a fresh install of v5.0.2 ships it and we have not run it yet.
Requires Duplicator 5.0 or newer on WordPress 6.9 or newer. The free version covers full and database-only backups; restoring, deleting, and downloading backups stay in the Duplicator dashboard.

What we learned testing it
Behavior the ability descriptions do not mention. WPVibe’s Duplicator skill already accounts for each of these.
- The AI can create backups but cannot restore, delete, or download one. Restoring stays in the Duplicator dashboard, and the status report gives the AI the details link to send you there.
- Creating a backup is a write that is not marked destructive, so WPVibe does not ask for approval first. Ask the AI to confirm the scope and reason before it starts if you want a checkpoint.
- Scope is "all" or "database". A database backup does not protect theme files, plugin files, or uploads, so use a full backup before anything that touches those.
- The reason is stored on the backup as attribution and is capped at 255 characters. Write it so you can find the backup later.
- Backups run in the background. Poll get-backup-status until it is complete, failed, cancelled, or missing; a full backup of a large site can take several minutes and needs room on disk.
- list-backups returns the 20 most recent backups, which on the free version is also how many Duplicator keeps.
- Every backup uses the default Duplicator template. Custom templates, storage locations, and schedules are set in the Duplicator dashboard.
