What your AI can do with SpeedyCache

One connection gives your assistant structured, permission-checked access to the whole site.

Clear one page

Clear SpeedyCache for just the pages that show old content, and check the stored copies are gone.

Clear and warm up

After a widget, Customizer or settings change, clear every cached page and re-cache your home page and newest posts in the background.

Cache health check

A plain-language check of your cache, mobile, member, preload and exclude settings, sorted into fix now, worth doing and fine to ignore.

Caching troubleshooting

Find the rule that keeps a page from being cached, and remove an exclude rule you no longer want.

Things to ask

Paste any of these into Claude or ChatGPT once SpeedyCache is connected.

“Visitors still see the old price on my tours page. Clear SpeedyCache for that page.”
“I changed my footer widget. Clear SpeedyCache and warm it back up.”
“Give me a health check of my SpeedyCache setup.”
“Why isn't SpeedyCache caching my booking page?”

Up and running in three steps

1

Install WPVibe

Add the free WPVibe plugin from WordPress.org to the site running SpeedyCache.

2

Connect your AI

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and more. One click to authorize, and no passwords ever go in the chat.

3

Ask in plain English

“I changed my footer widget. Clear SpeedyCache and warm it back up.”

Verified SpeedyCache recipes

Copy-paste playbooks, each one tested on a live SpeedyCache install before it ships.

Every SpeedyCache ability

SpeedyCache registers these with the WordPress Abilities API under the speedycache-cache namespace. Your AI finds them with discover_abilities and calls them with run_ability. WPVibe asks for your approval only when an ability is marked destructive and deletes something or runs code; everything else runs as soon as your AI calls it. Verified means we ran it on a live install of v1.4.3. Registered means a fresh install of v1.4.3 ships it and we have not run it yet.

Requires SpeedyCache 1.4.3 or newer on WordPress 6.9 or newer, with an administrator account, and Enable AI Abilities turned on under SpeedyCache > AI Abilities (that switch only; WPVibe does not need the MCP Adapter or Application Password steps on that page). Tested on SpeedyCache 1.4.3 (free).

What we learned testing it

Behavior the ability descriptions do not mention.

  • The abilities are off until you turn on Enable AI Abilities under SpeedyCache > AI Abilities. Until then nothing from SpeedyCache shows up for the AI. With WPVibe that switch is all you need: the MCP Adapter and Application Password steps on that page are for connecting an AI client to WordPress directly.
  • Two abilities return your CDN API key in full: Get the CDN settings and Export the settings, although the first says credentials are never exposed. By its code the export also returns your object cache login. If you have keys in SpeedyCache, ask your AI not to run them. Our recipes never do.
  • No ability changes SpeedyCache's settings or adds an exclude rule, so the AI tells you which tab to change. It can clear the cache, rebuild the preload list and delete an exclude rule.
  • Exclude rules only stop SpeedyCache from storing a page. In our test a page cached before its rule was added kept being served, and a visitor with an excluded cookie still got the stored copy. After adding a page rule, clear that page; cookie and user agent rules cannot stop those visitors getting a copy another visit stored.
  • The exclude rule list comes back numbered 0, 1, 2 and so on, but deleting a rule needs its stored id, and ids keep their gaps after a delete. In our test, after one delete, number 3 in the list was id 4, and deleting id 3 failed. The recipes read the real ids first.
  • Clearing a URL or a post reports success whether or not a copy was cached, and cache statistics came back 0 and 0 with eight pages cached, so the recipes check the cache folder instead.
  • With Mobile Override on and no Pro Mobile Cache, phone visitors never got a cached page in our test. Logged-in visitors get none either, unless Logged-in Users is on, which gives them the logged-out copy.
  • Preload cached our login, account and thank-you pages: SpeedyCache only skips WooCommerce's cart, checkout and My Account pages on its own. The health check flags pages like these so you can exclude them.

Verified, and kept that way

Works with AI is WPVibe’s verification program. Every ability marked verified was run on a live SpeedyCache install, and we rescan WordPress.org weekly so a release that adds or removes abilities shows up here before it surprises you.
