Every SureForms ability

SureForms registers these with the WordPress Abilities API under the sureforms namespace. Your AI finds them with discover_abilities and calls them with run_ability. WPVibe asks for your approval only when an ability is marked destructive and deletes something or runs code; everything else runs as soon as your AI calls it. Verified means we ran it on a live install of v2.12.9. Registered means a fresh install of v2.12.9 ships it and we have not run it yet.

Requires SureForms 2.12.9 or newer on WordPress 6.9 or newer, with an administrator account, and Enable Abilities switched on under SureForms > Settings > MCP (the tab asks you to install the free MCP Adapter plugin first). Recipes that change forms also need Enable Edit Abilities. Tested on the free SureForms 2.12.9.

What we learned testing it

Behavior the ability descriptions do not mention.

  • SureForms keeps its abilities off until an admin switches on Enable Abilities under SureForms > Settings > MCP. The tab shows that switch only once the free MCP Adapter plugin is active, and offers to install it. Until then WPVibe sees no SureForms abilities at all (tested).
  • Changing forms needs Enable Edit Abilities and deleting needs Enable Delete Abilities, both on the same tab.
  • Deleting a form or an entry goes to WPVibe's approval page in your browser first. A deleted entry is gone for good; a form goes to the trash unless the AI asks to delete it for good.
  • A form saved as a draft shows nowhere, not even on a page or to you. Publish the form and keep the page it is on as a draft until it is ready (tested).
  • New SureForms forms get a default email that also sends a copy and a blind copy to the site admin email. The build-a-form recipe turns those copies off, and the fix-emails recipe shows them.
  • Updating a settings group replaces all of it: sending only the honeypot setting wiped saved captcha keys in our test. Read the group first and send it all back with your change.
  • When you list entries by date, a plain end date leaves that whole day out; end on 23:59:59 (tested). Dates are in the site's time zone.
  • With an entry limit on, a limit of 0 closes the form straight away (tested); the ability's own description tells the AI 0 means unlimited. Entries in the trash don't count toward the limit.

Verified, and kept that way

Works with AI is WPVibe’s verification program. Every ability marked verified was run on a live SureForms install, and we rescan WordPress.org weekly so a release that adds or removes abilities shows up here before it surprises you.
