Launch a Fundraising Campaign in Charitable with AI
Describe your fundraiser in a few sentences and get a complete Charitable campaign built from a template, saved as a draft for you to review.
Prerequisites
A connected site running Charitable 1.8.18 or newer on WordPress 6.9 or newer, and a payment gateway connected before you publish.
I use Charitable on my WordPress site. Create a new fundraising campaign for this: [describe the fundraiser: what it is for, who it helps, your goal amount, the end date, and what a typical gift pays for, for example: holiday meals for 200 local families, goal $12,000, ends December 24, and $60 covers one family]. Use the Charitable campaign abilities. First list the campaign templates and recommend the one that fits best, with one line on why, and wait for me to agree or pick another. Then show me what you plan to create: the title, the goal, the end date, four suggested donation amounts with the reason for each, whether custom amounts are allowed, and a campaign story of three short paragraphs written only from the facts I gave you. Do not invent statistics, names, or quotes. Wait for me to confirm. Create the campaign in the visual Campaign Builder with that template, as a draft, never published. After it is created, read the campaign back and show me the saved goal, end date, and suggested amounts, plus the link to edit it in wp-admin. Tell me plainly that the template still contains its own sample story, photo, and giving levels, which I need to replace in the Campaign Builder before publishing. Then check the payment gateway status and tell me if any gateway is not connected or is still in test mode, since I should fix that before I publish.

Run the “Launch a Fundraising Campaign in Charitable with AI” recipe from the WPVibe cookbook on my connected site.
The hard part of a fundraiser is the cause, the story, and the people. The campaign page should be the easy part, and it still eats an afternoon: pick a template, set the goal, work out the suggested amounts, write the description, set the end date, check it all twice. For a small nonprofit with one person doing everything, that afternoon is why the campaign goes up a week late.
You describe the fundraiser and the AI builds it through Charitable's own campaign abilities. It shows you Charitable's campaign templates and recommends one that fits, writes the story from the facts you give it, suggests donation amounts tied to what a gift actually pays for, and creates the campaign in the visual Campaign Builder as a draft. Drafting and publishing are separate permissions in Charitable, and this recipe stays on the draft side. You publish.
Paste the prompt with your details. The more concrete you are, the better the page: "$60 feeds one family" gives the AI something to build suggested amounts around, and "help families in need" does not. Give the end date as a real date. Templates come with their own sample story, sample photo, and sample giving levels, and those stay on the page next to what you asked for, so before you publish, open the draft in the Campaign Builder, replace the sample text and photo with your own, and make sure your payment gateway is connected and out of test mode, because a campaign page that cannot take a donation is worse than no page.
Outcome
A draft campaign with your goal, end date, story, and suggested donation amounts, built on the template you picked and ready to preview.
