Handle a Membership Cancellation Request in MemberPress with AI
Give the AI a member's email and get their subscriptions reviewed, the right one cancelled after you confirm, and a reply drafted that tells them when access ends.
Prerequisites
A connected site running MemberPress with the AI Foundation and Developer Tools add-ons active on WordPress 6.9 or newer.
I use MemberPress on my WordPress site. A member wants to cancel: [member email]. Look them up with the MemberPress abilities and show me their active memberships, their subscriptions with status, price, and payment gateway, their last few transactions, and the date their paid access runs out. Don't change anything yet. Tell me which subscription you would cancel and what cancelling does: future payments stop and they keep access until the paid period ends. Wait for me to say yes. Then cancel only that subscription through the MemberPress Developer Tools REST API (mp/v1/subscriptions/[id]/cancel), read it back, and confirm its status is now cancelled. If it still shows active, tell me instead of reporting success. Do not refund anything. If a refund looks owed, tell me the transaction and amount so I can issue it myself. Finish with a two-sentence reply I can send the member confirming the cancellation and the date their access ends.
