Enroll Students in Your Course with AI
Turn a list of names and emails into student accounts enrolled in your course, in one pass instead of one at a time.
Prerequisites
A connected site with LifterLMS active, a published course to enroll into, and a list of students who expect access. Your site must be able to send email for students to set their passwords.
I use LifterLMS on my WordPress site. Enroll these students in my course [course name]: [list each person's name and email]. First confirm the course exists and is published; if it is a draft, stop and tell me instead of enrolling anyone. Then check which of these people already have accounts, show me the list of accounts you would need to create, and wait for my confirmation before creating anything. Create the missing accounts with LifterLMS's own REST endpoints (llms/v1/students); do not set or send passwords. Enroll everyone in the course, and if someone is already enrolled, leave them as is and note it. When you are done, give me a roster marking each person as newly created, existing, or already enrolled, with their username and enrollment status. Finish with the login page URL and a two-line note I can paste into an email telling my students how to set their password.

Somebody signs up outside your site, a cohort arrives from a webinar, a client hands you a spreadsheet of employees who need training. Paste the prompt with your course name and student list. Only enroll people who expect access: you are creating real accounts and storing each person’s name and email on your site. Nothing is emailed to your students automatically, so send them your login page link yourself and tell them to use “Lost your password” with their email address to set one; this needs a site that can send email, so test that first if you are not sure. Spot-check the roster before you tell your students they are in.

Every person on your list has an account and an active enrollment, and you have a roster plus a ready-to-send note telling students how to log in.
