Fix How Your Posts Look When Shared in SiteSEO with AI
Check the preview card your post makes on social sites and fix its title, text and image in SiteSEO.
Prerequisites
A site connected to WPVibe running SiteSEO 1.4.2 or newer (tested on 1.4.2, free) on WordPress 6.9 or newer, with an administrator account, and the Abilities - SiteSEO switch turned on under SiteSEO > AI Abilities.
My WordPress site uses SiteSEO. Fix how [post URL, or: my 10 newest posts] looks when shared on social media. 1. Run discover_abilities with category siteseo-posts. If siteseo-posts/seo-data-get is not there, run rest_api GET /wp/v2/plugins with search siteseo. If SiteSEO is active, tell me its AI abilities are off until I turn on the Abilities - SiteSEO switch at the top of SiteSEO > AI Abilities in wp-admin (the MCP Adapter and Application Password steps on that page are not needed for WPVibe; if the switch is already on, the site needs SiteSEO 1.4.2 or newer and WordPress 6.9 or newer), and stop. If it is installed but not active, tell me to activate it and then turn on that switch, and stop. If it is not installed, tell me this recipe is for the free SiteSEO plugin, and stop. 2. Find each post's ID: for a URL, rest_api GET /wp/v2/posts with its slug (or /wp/v2/pages for a page); for my newest posts, rest_api GET /wp/v2/posts with per_page 10. For each, run siteseo-posts/seo-data-get, and read it with rest_api GET /wp/v2/posts/ID (/wp/v2/pages/ID for a page) for its title, excerpt and featured_media. Fetch the live URL with get_page_html and read og:title, og:description, og:image, twitter:title, twitter:description and twitter:image. 3. Show me the card as it is now: title, description and image, or no image. SiteSEO uses its social image first, then the post's featured image, then the default image in its social settings (unless settings.social.social_facebook_img_default from siteseo-settings/get is on, which always uses the default image over the featured image). 4. Draft a social title (up to 60 characters) and description (up to 155 characters) from what the post says, no invented claims. If the post has no social image and no featured image, find one with rest_api GET /wp/v2/media with media_type image and a search word from the post, and suggest one, ideally at least 1200 by 630 pixels; give me its source_url. Never upload or generate a new image. 5. Show me before and after for each post and wait for my yes. 6. Save only what I approve with siteseo-posts/seo-data-update, postId and social with og_title, og_description and og_image (the image URL). Leave the twitter fields alone: SiteSEO copies the social card to X only while all three are empty. If seo-data-get shows any twitter field set, tell me X will use those instead, and ask whether to clear them by sending that field as null. Send null for nothing else. 7. Fetch each live URL again and confirm the og tags show the new values. If they are missing, run siteseo-settings/get: SiteSEO prints og tags only while settings.toggles toggle-social and settings.social.social_facebook_og are on, and X tags only while social_twitter_card is on, so tell me which to turn on in SiteSEO's social settings. If they show old values, check for a page cache. Tell me social sites keep an old preview for a while, and that Facebook's Sharing Debugger and LinkedIn's Post Inspector refresh it.
Skip pasting the full prompt. Drop this into your AI on a site that already has WPVibe:
Run the “Fix How Your Posts Look When Shared in SiteSEO with AI” recipe from the WPVibe cookbook on my connected site.
Paste a link to your post into Facebook, LinkedIn or a group chat and the preview card is the first thing people judge. Without a social image, a featured image or a default image in SiteSEO’s social settings, the card shows no picture at all, and the text is whatever SiteSEO pulled from the post.
The AI reads what SiteSEO sends to social sites for a post, fetches the live page to see the tags a share card is built from, and drafts a social title and description, with an image from your own media library. It shows you the card before and after, and saves only what you approve.
Leave the X (Twitter) fields empty unless you want something different there: SiteSEO copies the social card to X only while all three X fields are empty. Social sites cache previews, so an old card can take a while to update.
Outcome
Your post shares with the title, text and image you chose, confirmed in its live page source.
