Give One Form Its Own Style with Formidable Forms and AI

A new style in your colours for one Formidable form, leaving every other form as it is.

Difficulty Beginner
Time ~5 min

Prerequisites

A site connected to WPVibe running Formidable Forms 7.0 or newer with Formidable Pro 7.0 or newer and an active Pro license (tested on 7.0 with Pro 7.0) on WordPress 6.9 or newer, with an administrator account. Formidable's AI access must be on: Formidable > Global Settings > MCP > Enable the Formidable MCP server.

The prompt
My site runs Formidable Forms Pro. Give my form [form name] its own style: button [hex colour], button on hover [hex colour], the outline of the field being typed in [hex colour], corners [for example 4px]. Leave every other form as it is.

1. Run get_ability_info for formidable-forms/create-style, formidable-forms/assign-style-to-form and formidable-forms/list-forms. If list-forms is found but either of the other two is not, the site lacks Formidable Pro with an active license: tell me that and stop. Otherwise: Run get_ability_info for each Formidable ability this uses: formidable-forms/list-forms, formidable-forms/list-styles, formidable-forms/get-style, formidable-forms/create-style and formidable-forms/assign-style-to-form. If one is not found, Formidable is keeping its abilities off: tell me to update Formidable Forms to 7.0 or newer if it is older, then switch on Enable the Formidable MCP server under Formidable > Global Settings > MCP and click Update (I can switch it off again afterwards), and stop.
2. Find the form with formidable-forms/list-forms, page_size 100 (ask me if more than one matches). Run formidable-forms/list-styles and note the styles that exist, so the new one gets a name nobody has used. Find the style the form follows now (the default style is the one with menu_order 1) and read its settings with formidable-forms/get-style: a new style starts from Formidable's factory settings, not from my site's look, so the new style must copy these.
3. The settings to change are submit_bg_color, submit_border_color, submit_hover_bg_color, submit_hover_border_color, border_color_active, border_radius and submit_border_radius, with colours as six hex digits without the hash. Show me the style name, the settings and the form it goes on, and wait for my yes.
4. On my yes, run formidable-forms/create-style with name and post_content set to the current style's settings from step 2 with only those keys changed. Then run formidable-forms/assign-style-to-form with form_id and the new style's id as style_id. Note previous_id from the answer.
5. Read it back with formidable-forms/get-style for the new id and confirm the colours. Ask me to check the form on its page (refresh with the browser cache cleared). To switch back, run formidable-forms/assign-style-to-form with the form id and style_id set to the previous_id I noted (1 means the form follows the default style). The new style stays under Formidable > Styles until I delete it there.

Skip pasting the full prompt. Drop this into your AI on a site that already has WPVibe:

Run the “Give One Form Its Own Style with Formidable Forms and AI” recipe from the WPVibe cookbook on my connected site.

Formidable styles every form the same way by default. That is fine until one form needs to stand out: a booking form on a dark landing page, a survey in a partner’s colours, a lead form that should match a campaign. Changing the default style would change every form on the site.

With Formidable Pro, the AI makes a new style from your colours and gives it to just that form. Every other form keeps the style it has. It starts from your current form style, so fonts and field colours stay as they are, shows you the colours it will change and which form gets them before it changes anything, and tells you how to switch the form back.

Give the form and your colours as hex codes. Check the form on its page afterwards. Switching back puts the form on your default style again and leaves the new style in Formidable > Styles for later.

Outcome

The form you named uses a new style in your colours; every other form looks as it did.
