Rebrand Your Astra Site’s Colors, Fonts and Header with AI
Change Astra's global palette, heading font, buttons and header in one approved pass through Astra's own abilities, with the old settings saved in the chat.
Prerequisites
A connected site running the Astra theme 4.12.6 or newer and WordPress 6.9 or newer (or the Abilities API plugin), the WPVibe plugin active and a fresh backup, because this changes colors and fonts across the whole site. On Astra 4.13 and later, turn on Enable Abilities in the MCP tab of the Astra menu in wp-admin first. Without it, the AI still makes the change one setting at a time.
My WordPress site uses the Astra theme. I want to rebrand it: [primary color #hex] as the primary color, [background color #hex] as the page background and [accent color #hex] as the accent; [a Google Font] for the headings; [square, rounded or pill-shaped] buttons; and a header in [header color #hex] with [header text color #hex] text. First check whether Astra's abilities are on. If they are off, tell me where to turn on Enable Abilities and continue without them. Read the current global palette, heading font, global button settings and primary header design and paste them into the chat so I have them as the rollback. Show me a table with the current and new value for each, mapping my colors onto the right palette slots and keeping text readable everywhere. If one of my colors fails contrast in a role, suggest a nearby shade. Wait for my approval before changing anything. Then make the approved changes through Astra's own abilities and read each area back. Send all nine palette slots in one call, because Astra can fill a slot you leave out with black. Set the button corner radius directly, because the button preset alone does not round the corners. Set the header's site title, menu and mobile menu icon colors together with the header background, so the header text stays readable. Afterwards check my homepage and confirm the new brand is live. If I ask you to put it back, run the Astra snapshot undo commands from your replies, newest first.
Skip pasting the full prompt. Drop this into your AI on a site that already has WPVibe:
Run the “Rebrand Your Astra Site’s Colors, Fonts and Header with AI” recipe from the WPVibe cookbook on my connected site.
Astra keeps every Customizer setting in one place, so a rebrand changes the whole site at once. Doing it by hand still means four trips through the Customizer: the global palette, typography, buttons and the header builder. The header’s text colors sit in yet another panel. That is how a new dark header ends up with dark menu links that nobody can read.
The AI checks that Astra’s abilities are on and reads your current palette, heading font, button settings and header design. It pastes them into the chat as your rollback. It shows you the current and new value for each, maps your colors onto the right palette slots and suggests a nearby shade when one of your colors fails contrast. Nothing changes until you approve. Then it makes the changes through Astra’s own abilities, which validate each value. It reads each area back after its change. It sends all nine palette slots together, sets the button corner radius directly and changes the header’s text colors with its background. A partial change goes wrong in each of those three places. At the end it checks your homepage.
Take a backup first. Astra changes are live as soon as they save. WPVibe’s draft theme preview does not hold them. On Astra 4.13 and later, turn on Enable Abilities in the MCP tab of the Astra menu before you start. If you don’t like the result, ask the AI to put it back. It runs the undo commands from its replies newest first. The steps that delete a setting ask for your approval.
Outcome
Your Astra site in the new brand: palette, heading font, buttons and header changed through Astra's own abilities, the old settings saved in the chat and a homepage check that the new brand is live.
