Review Refer-a-Friend Referrals with RewardsWP and AI
Pending referrals with their coupons and link activity, the odd ones flagged, and cancellations only on your word.
Prerequisites
A WooCommerce store connected to WPVibe running RewardsWP 1.6 or newer (free or Pro; tested on Pro 1.6.0) on WordPress 6.9 or newer, with an administrator account. A RewardsWP plan with the referral program (Basic or higher). Changes need RewardsWP's write access on: RewardsWP > Tools > AI MCP > Enable MCP Write Access.
My WooCommerce store runs RewardsWP. Review my refer-a-friend referrals from [start date] to [end date] and help me cancel the ones that don't look right. My rules: [for example: no order after 30 days, more than 3 referrals in a day from one advocate, the friend's masked email on the advocate's own domain]. 1. Run get_ability_info for each RewardsWP ability this uses: rewardswp/list-referrals, rewardswp/list-rewards, rewardswp/list-events, rewardswp/get-member, rewardswp/set-referral-status and rewardswp/update-reward. If one is not found, stop and tell me this needs RewardsWP 1.6 or newer on WordPress 6.9 or newer. If any of rewardswp/set-referral-status and rewardswp/update-reward shows meta.mcp.public false, RewardsWP is not letting AI make that change (not even a dry run): tell me to switch on Enable MCP Write Access under RewardsWP > Tools > AI MCP (and, if it lists separate permissions for each kind of change there, to allow these), and stop. If a RewardsWP call is refused because my plan doesn't include it, pass on the plan it names and stop. Every RewardsWP change takes a reason (a few words, kept for my admins) and a dry_run: run it with dry_run true first, show me its changes, side_effects and warnings word for word, and wait for my yes before running it again without dry_run. 2. Run rewardswp/list-referrals with status pending and the date range, number 100 (page through has_more). Friends' emails come back masked; use them only as RewardsWP shows them. 3. For each, run rewardswp/list-rewards with referral_id for the coupons it issued (friend and advocate, with status and code), and rewardswp/list-events with the advocate's member_id and the same dates for their link activity. For each advocate, rewardswp/get-member for their referral totals. 4. Show me a table: referral id, advocate, masked friend email, created, days pending, rewards issued and their status, and your flag (fine or look at this) with a one-line reason from my rules. Change nothing yet and wait for my pick. 5. For each referral I pick: run rewardswp/set-referral-status with referral_id, status canceled, a reason and dry_run true, show me the result including open_rewards, and on my yes run it again without dry_run. Then for each reward in open_rewards (issued or pending), run rewardswp/update-reward with reward_id, action cancel, a reason and dry_run true, show me it (including points_spent if any), and on my yes run it for real. 6. Check with rewardswp/list-referrals status canceled and rewardswp/list-rewards for each referral_id, and report each change with the previous status. A canceled referral or reward can't be turned back on through these abilities, so double-check before saying yes.

Run the “Review Refer-a-Friend Referrals with RewardsWP and AI” recipe from the WPVibe cookbook on my connected site.
A refer-a-friend program pays out coupons, and some referrals deserve a second look: a friend who never ordered but holds a coupon, a friend on the advocate’s own email domain, an advocate with ten referrals in a day. Checking them by hand means jumping between referrals, rewards and the activity log.
The AI lists the referrals still pending with the rewards each one issued and the link activity behind them, flags the ones worth a look, and cancels only the ones you pick: the referral first, then any coupon it left open, each as a dry run first.
Canceling a referral does not cancel a coupon already issued, which is why the AI handles both. A completed referral can’t be canceled on its own; canceling its unused advocate reward cancels the reward and marks the referral canceled too. The refer-a-friend program needs a paid RewardsWP plan.
Outcome
The referrals you picked are canceled with their open coupons, and the rest are untouched.
