Send Readers to a Related Guide with an OptinMonster Slide-In with AI

A small slide-in on one post that points readers at the guide they should read next, timed for 15 seconds or exit intent.

Difficulty Beginner
Time ~10 min

Prerequisites

A site connected to WPVibe with the OptinMonster plugin connected to your OptinMonster account, and OptinMonster's MCP connector added to the same AI assistant.

The prompt
My WordPress site is connected through WPVibe and my OptinMonster account through OptinMonster's MCP connector.

1. Use WPVibe to read the title and opening of [the post readers leave from] and of [the guide you want them to read next]. Confirm the guide is published and give me its URL.
2. Write slide-in copy: a headline under eight words such as "More on [topic of the guide]", one sentence that links the first post to the guide, and a button label of three or four words.
3. In OptinMonster, create a slide-in campaign with that copy and one button that links to the guide's URL. Assign it to this site.
4. Set the display rules: only when the URL path contains [the first post's slug], and after 15 seconds on the page or on exit intent.
5. Leave it paused and show me the copy, the link and the rules in plain English. When I say go, turn it on and give me the post URL to check.

Run the “Send Readers to a Related Guide with an OptinMonster Slide-In with AI” recipe from the WPVibe cookbook on my connected site.

Some posts get plenty of traffic and send almost none of it anywhere else. People read, get their answer, and leave, even though the guide that would keep them on your site is one click away. A nudge at the right moment fixes that, but setting one up per post means copy, a campaign and page rules each time.

The AI reads both posts through WPVibe so the copy names the real topics, then builds a slide-in in your OptinMonster account through OptinMonster’s MCP connector. It appears in the bottom-right corner (OptinMonster’s default), links straight to the guide, and shows only on the post you name, after 15 seconds or when the reader moves to leave. Nothing goes live until you approve it.

Pick a guide that genuinely follows from the first post; a mismatched link reads like an ad. Analytics can tell you which posts lose readers fastest, so start there. Once it is on, open the post in a private window and wait 15 seconds to see it slide in.

Outcome

A paused OptinMonster slide-in on one post that links to a related guide, shown after 15 seconds or on exit intent.
