Set and fix social share preview images with AI
Correct the wrong image, title, or description that shows when your link is shared, and clear the stale cache.
Prerequisites
A connected site. An SEO plugin (Rank Math, Yoast, or All in One SEO) makes it cleaner but is not required.
Fix the social share preview for [page or post URL, or its title] on my site. Set the share image to [a specific image URL, an image in my media library, or "the post's featured image"], set the share title to "[Share title]", and set the share description to "[One or two sentence description]". Use my SEO plugin's social settings if one is active (Rank Math, Yoast, or All in One SEO). If none is installed, set the featured image and the Open Graph tags directly. After you save, read back the resulting og:image, og:title, og:description, and the Twitter card tags for that page so I can confirm the preview is correct. Then remind me to re-scrape the URL in the Facebook Sharing Debugger and LinkedIn Post Inspector so the old cached preview clears.

Skip the copy-paste. Just ask your AI for the “Set and fix social share preview images with AI” recipe, or describe the task, and WPVibe runs these steps on your own site.
You share a page on LinkedIn or in a group chat and the preview is wrong: the old logo, a stretched thumbnail, last year’s headline, or no image at all. It looks careless on the exact link you wanted to look sharp, and the fix feels buried. The image and title that social platforms pull come from Open Graph tags most people never see, so the preview stays broken until someone digs into plugin settings to correct it.
Ask your AI assistant and it sets the share image, title, and description for the page you name, writing them straight into your SEO plugin’s social fields (Rank Math, Yoast, or All in One SEO) or, if you have none, into the featured image and Open Graph tags. It then reads back the resulting og:image and og:title so you can confirm the preview is now correct before you share the link again. The change is made on your page only, nothing else on the site moves.
Tell it which page to fix and hand it the image and wording you want. One caveat the AI will remind you of: social networks cache previews, so an old thumbnail can linger even after the fix. Clearing it is a one-click manual step in the platform’s own tool, the Facebook Sharing Debugger or the LinkedIn Post Inspector, where you paste the URL and re-scrape. For best results use a landscape image around 1200 by 630 pixels.
Outcome
The right image, title, and description now appear in link previews, confirmed in the page head tags.
