Set Up Course Pricing and Payment Plans with AI
Describe your pricing in a sentence and get correctly configured LifterLMS access plans, payment plans included.
Prerequisites
A connected site running LifterLMS 10.1 or newer, a course to price, and a payment gateway already connected if you plan to take real payments.
I use LifterLMS on my WordPress site. Set up pricing on my course [course name]. I want these plans: [describe each plan in plain English, and be exact about the money, for example: a one-time payment of $1,000 for lifetime access, and a payment plan of three monthly payments of $400 each, $1,200 in total, for lifetime access]. Use the LifterLMS access plan abilities. Treat the billing schedule and the content access as two separate things: how many payments the plan takes is one setting, and how long the student keeps access afterwards is another, so a plan can stop billing after three payments and still grant access for life. Before you create anything, show me each plan you are about to create as a table with its price, whether it is one-time or recurring, how many payments it takes in total, when the billing stops, and when the student's access ends, and wait for me to confirm. Do not change or delete any access plan that already exists on this course; if one already matches what I asked for, tell me instead of making a duplicate. Give each plan a short plain name unless I told you what to call it, and tell me the names you chose. After you create them, re-fetch the plans on the course and show me that same table built from the saved data, so I can see what LifterLMS actually stored, plus the wp-admin edit link for the course, where the pricing panel lives.

Run the “Set Up Course Pricing and Payment Plans with AI” recipe from the WPVibe cookbook on my connected site.
Pricing a course in LifterLMS means access plans, and an access plan has a lot of fields: price, frequency, period, length, expiration, trial, sale dates. Getting a payment plan right means knowing that three monthly payments is a frequency of one, a period of month, and a length of three. That is not obvious from the screen, and getting it wrong means a plan that bills forever.
You describe the pricing in plain English and the AI turns it into access plans on the course, using the LifterLMS abilities. “A thousand dollars once for lifetime access, or three monthly payments of four hundred dollars each” becomes two plans attached to the course, with the recurring one set to stop after the third payment while the student keeps access for good. It shows you what it is about to create before it creates it, and it leaves any plan you already have alone.
Paste the prompt with your course and your pricing, and be exact about the money: “three monthly payments of $400” can be read as $1,200 in total or as $400 split three ways, so say which you mean. Two settings you should check separately are when the billing stops and when the student’s access ends, because a plan can stop charging after three payments and still grant access for life. Your payment gateway has to be connected and live before any plan can take money, and one structural thing is worth knowing: access plans belong to the course, so deleting a course takes its pricing down with it.
Outcome
Your course has the access plans you described, with recurring plans set to stop after the right number of payments.
