Connect a WordPress Site

Authorize WPVibe through WordPress application passwords and verify the connected site.

Connection requirements

WPVibe works with self-hosted WordPress sites that can be reached over the public web and have the WordPress REST API available. The connection flow uses WordPress application passwords, the same WordPress-native credential system used by many official integrations.

One-click authorization

Ask your AI to connect a site. WPVibe returns a wp-admin authorization link. Open it while signed in as a WordPress user with the permissions you want the AI to have. WordPress shows an application-password approval screen, and after approval WPVibe can store the connection for your account.

When the Vibe AI plugin helps

Core WordPress REST operations can work through WordPress itself. Install the Vibe AI plugin when you want the deeper WPVibe surface: theme draft workflows, file operations, WP-CLI-style commands, editable fields, and richer site diagnostics.

Verify the connection

After approving the connection, ask your AI to run a site summary. It should confirm the site URL, site name, active theme, plugins, WordPress version, and whether the WPVibe plugin features are available.
