Manage Infinite Uploads with AI
Connect Infinite Uploads to Claude, ChatGPT, or any AI assistant with WPVibe. Size up your media library, find and upload files, and move media to the cloud by asking in plain English.
What your AI can do with Infinite Uploads
One connection gives your assistant structured, permission-checked access to the whole site.
Know what you are storing
Scan the uploads folder and get the file count and total size in one answer, before you connect anything.
Find media fast
Search the library by words, filename, or type, and reuse a file that is already there instead of uploading a second copy.
Upload where it belongs
Add an image from a link with a title and alt text, filed in the right folder, and get back the URL the page should use.
Connect without wp-admin
Get a link and a short code to approve at infiniteuploads.com. The AI waits for your approval and carries on from there.
Organize folders
Create, rename, and move media folders and file media into them, without changing a single media URL. Needs a connected account.
Move media to the cloud
Sync the library to the Infinite Uploads cloud in the background, then switch cloud serving on when you say so. Needs a connected account.
Things to ask
Paste any of these into Claude or ChatGPT once Infinite Uploads is connected.
Up and running in three steps
Install WPVibe
Add the free WPVibe plugin from WordPress.org to the site running Infinite Uploads.
Connect your AI
Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and more. One click to authorize, and no passwords ever go in the chat.
Ask in plain English
“Check Infinite Uploads on my site. Is it connected, how big is my media library, and what is the next step to finish setup?”
Every Infinite Uploads ability
Infinite Uploads registers these with the WordPress Abilities API under the infinite-uploads namespace. Your AI finds them with discover_abilities and calls them with run_ability. WPVibe asks for your approval only when an ability is marked destructive and deletes something or runs code; everything else runs as soon as your AI calls it. Verified means we ran it on a live install of v3.4.0. Registered means a fresh install of v3.4.0 ships it and we have not run it yet.
Requires Infinite Uploads 3.4.0 or newer on WordPress 6.9 or newer. Checking status, finding and uploading media, scanning, and starting a connection work on the free plugin. Media folders, cloud sync, downloads, and cloud serving need the site connected to an Infinite Uploads account, and the CDN purge needs the Business plan.

What we learned testing it
Behavior the ability descriptions do not mention.
- Nine of the 17 abilities need the site connected to an Infinite Uploads account: media folders, sync, download, cloud serving, and the CDN purge. On an unconnected site they stop with a clear "not connected" or "folders unavailable" message and change nothing.
- Connecting needs a person. The AI gets a link and a short code, and you approve on infiniteuploads.com. The code expires after 15 minutes, so ask for a new one if you miss it.
- Without a connected account, uploading with a folder path still adds the file, leaves it uncategorized, and says why in its notes. Listing folders returns an empty list with the same note.
- Starting the scan over is marked destructive, so WPVibe asks for your approval before it runs. It throws away the record of which files are already in the cloud.
- Switching cloud serving on or off is not marked destructive, so WPVibe does not stop for approval. It changes how every media URL on the site is served, so tell the AI to ask you first.
Verified, and kept that way
Works with AI is WPVibe’s verification program. Every ability marked verified was run on a live Infinite Uploads install, and we rescan WordPress.org weekly so a release that adds or removes abilities shows up here before it surprises you.
