Take Paystack Payments on a WPForms Form with AI
Tell the AI what you charge and get a WPForms form that takes Paystack payments, on a draft page for you to check.
Prerequisites
A connected site running WPForms Pro 2.0.2.2 or newer and the WPForms Paystack addon (a Pro license or higher), with Enable MCP Write Access turned on under WPForms, Tools, AI MCP. Under WPForms, Settings, Payments, set the currency to match your Paystack account and save before you paste your Paystack test keys. Tested on WPForms 2.0.2.2 with Paystack addon 1.0.0.
Build a WPForms form called [form name] that takes payments in [your Paystack currency, e.g. NGN, GHS or KES] with Paystack. Fields: [e.g. name, email, phone]. Payment choice "[label, e.g. Ticket Type]": [each item and price, e.g. Standard 5,000; VIP 15,000]. First check the currency with `option pluck wpforms_settings currency`, and read nothing else from that option. If it isn't [currency], tell me and stop. Create the form and its fields with the WPForms abilities. If they return a permission error, tell me to turn on Enable MCP Write Access under WPForms > Tools > AI MCP, and stop. The abilities can't add payments, so show me this change and wait for my OK: a Multiple Items field with my prices, a Total field, AJAX submission on, and Paystack on with the Email and Name fields as the customer. Write it with `post update`, then read the form's post_content back to confirm it. Put the form on a new draft page and give me the preview link.
Skip pasting the full prompt. Drop this into your AI on a site that already has WPVibe:
Run the “Take Paystack Payments on a WPForms Form with AI” recipe from the WPVibe cookbook on my connected site.
WPForms now has a Paystack addon, so a WordPress form can take payments through Paystack: cards, plus mobile money or bank transfer where your Paystack account offers them. Getting a payment form live still takes a payment field with your prices, the right currency, Paystack switched on for that form, and a page to put it on. None of it is hard, but it is enough clicks that the payment form keeps waiting for a quiet afternoon.
Tell the AI what the form is for and what you charge. It checks your site currency first, then builds the form and its fields through WPForms’ own abilities. Those abilities stop short of payments: they cannot add a payment field or turn Paystack on. For that one step the AI shows you exactly what it will change and waits for your OK. Then it writes the change to the form, reads the saved form back, and puts the form on a draft page.
Two things are yours to do before you paste the prompt, both under WPForms, Settings, Payments. Set the currency to the one your Paystack account uses and save, then paste your Paystack test keys and save again. The order matters. The addon picks its currency when you save the keys, so if your Paystack account holds more than one currency, for example your local currency and USD, and the site is still on the other one, the connection locks to the wrong currency and the form says “Payments are currently unavailable.” Fix the currency and save the secret key again to clear it. Your keys stay in wp-admin and never pass through the chat. When the draft is up, make a test payment with one of the test options in the Paystack checkout, and the payment shows under WPForms, Payments. The form starts with spam protection off and the default “Thanks for contacting us!” confirmation, so change both in the form builder. Before you switch to live keys, add the Webhooks Endpoint from the Paystack settings to your Paystack dashboard, because live mobile money and bank transfer payments stay Pending until Paystack confirms them.
Outcome
A WPForms form with your fields and prices and Paystack switched on, on a draft page that takes Paystack payments once you publish it.
