Set up a coming soon or maintenance page with AI

Flip your site into coming soon mode while you build, without locking yourself out.

Difficulty Beginner
Time ~5 min
Tools run_wp_cli

Prerequisites

A connected WordPress site with the free SeedProd Coming Soon plugin installed. If you have not designed a coming soon page yet, build one in SeedProd first.

The prompt
Put my site [yoursite.com] into coming soon mode using SeedProd so logged-out visitors see a coming soon page while I keep building, and keep me signed in with full access. Activate the SeedProd coming soon plugin if it is not already active, then enable coming soon mode. Use my existing SeedProd coming soon page if one is set; if none exists, stop and tell me so I can design one first. Do not change any other SeedProd modes (maintenance, login, or 404). When done, load my homepage as a logged-out visitor to confirm the coming soon page shows, list exactly what you changed, and give me the one step to turn coming soon mode back off at launch.

Skip the copy-paste. Just ask your AI for the “Set up a coming soon or maintenance page with AI” recipe, or describe the task, and WPVibe runs these steps on your own site.

You are halfway through a rebuild. Some pages are still placeholder text, the new header is not quite right, and the last thing you want is a customer (or Google) landing on the mess. Putting a site into coming soon mode usually means hunting through a plugin’s settings, picking a template, and just hoping logged-out visitors actually get blocked while you can still get in to keep working.

Ask your AI assistant and it handles the switch through WordPress itself. It activates SeedProd’s coming soon plugin, turns on coming soon mode, and sends the public to your landing page, while you stay signed in and keep seeing the real site. It leaves your other SeedProd modes alone, reports back exactly what it changed, and confirms the page is showing by loading your homepage as a logged-out visitor.

Paste the prompt and name your site. Because coming soon mode hides the whole front end from logged-out visitors, open wp-admin in a private window first to confirm you can still get in before you walk away. The assistant also hands you the one step to flip the mode back off, so launch day is a single instruction.

Outcome

Your site shows a coming soon page to the public while you keep building signed in, and you know the single step to switch it off at launch.
