Find Out Why Visitors Can’t Comment on a Post with AI
Check the post's setting, WordPress's discussion settings, Disable Comments' rules and the page itself, and get the one thing that decides it.
Works with AI · Verified on v2.9.0
Connect Disable Comments to Claude, ChatGPT, or any AI assistant with WPVibe. Turn comments off where you choose, clear out old ones and find out why a post is closed by asking in plain English.
One connection gives your assistant structured, permission-checked access to the whole site.
Comments switched off everywhere or only where you choose, with the previous setting kept for undo.
On a WooCommerce store, product reviews left on unless you say they should go.
Comments on the content types you name counted, then deleted after your yes and your approval, order notes untouched.
The one setting that opens or closes comments on a post, found without changing anything.
Paste any of these into Claude or ChatGPT once Disable Comments is connected.
Add the free WPVibe plugin from WordPress.org to the site running Disable Comments.
Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and more. One click to authorize, and no passwords ever go in the chat.

Switch comments off everywhere or only where you choose, keep WooCommerce reviews, and check the form is really gone.
Disable Comments registers these with the WordPress Abilities API under the disable-comments namespace. Your AI finds them with discover_abilities and calls them with run_ability; only abilities marked destructive ask for your approval before they run. Verified means we ran it on a live install of v2.9.0. Registered means a fresh install of v2.9.0 ships it and we have not run it yet.
Requires Disable Comments 2.9 or newer (tested on 2.9.0, free) on WordPress 6.9 or newer. Its abilities register on their own, with no setting to turn on.

Works with AI is WPVibe’s verification program. Every ability marked verified was run on a live Disable Comments install, and we rescan WordPress.org weekly so a release that adds or removes abilities shows up here before it surprises you.
