Every Website Builder by SeedProd ability

Website Builder by SeedProd registers these with the WordPress Abilities API under the seedprod namespace. Your AI finds them with discover_abilities and calls them with run_ability. WPVibe asks for your approval only when an ability is marked destructive and deletes something or runs code; everything else runs as soon as your AI calls it. Verified means we ran it on a live install of v6.20.10. Registered means a fresh install of v6.20.10 ships it and we have not run it yet.

Tested on SeedProd 6.20.10 (free) on WordPress 7.1. Abilities need SeedProd 6.20 or newer on WordPress 6.9 or newer; Pro adds login and 404 pages and theme templates, which are not covered here.

What we learned testing it

Behavior the ability descriptions do not mention.

  • The abilities need SeedProd 6.20 or newer on WordPress 6.9 or newer. The free plugin is enough; Pro adds login and 404 pages and theme templates to save-page.
  • save-page stores the page's layout, but the front end serves HTML that SeedProd's builder writes when it saves. WPVibe runs that save for you after every save-page and says Compile: done; if it doesn't, open the page's builder link once and click Save.
  • Sending sections to save-page replaces the page's whole layout. WPVibe adds a page outline, reading single sections and replacing single sections, so an edit leaves the rest of the page as it was.
  • The page outline cuts each block's text at about 70 characters and doesn't show links or alt text. To find a phone number or a link, read the sections whole.
  • Anyone logged in, customers with accounts included, sees the real site on the free plugin (Pro can limit this by role), so from your own browser a site in coming soon mode looks live. Check as a visitor: a private window, or get_page_html through WPVibe.
  • Coming soon mode answers with a normal 200, so search engines see the coming soon page as your site. Maintenance mode answers with a 503 and a one-day retry, which tells them the outage is temporary.
  • Coming soon and maintenance mode can't both be on: turning one on switches the other off.
  • The mode switches accept any page id without checking it. With an id that has no SeedProd layout, every visitor gets one line, "Please create your Coming Soon Page in the plugin settings." or the same for the Maintenance Page, with a normal 200. List the pages first and use the right id.
  • A coming soon or maintenance page doesn't need to be published: a draft page is shown to visitors once its mode is on.
  • On the free SeedProd, a block from Pro, such as a countdown, saves without an error and shows nothing. WPVibe's save response lists those blocks.
  • On a site that once ran SeedProd Pro, get-status on the free plugin still reported the old Pro license as active, and list-pages still listed the Pro theme templates, login and 404 pages, which the free plugin doesn't use as your login, 404, header or footer. Go by get-status's build field.
