What your AI can do with SiteSEO

One connection gives your assistant structured, permission-checked access to the whole site.

Write missing descriptions

Find the posts with no meta description and fill them in from their content, after you approve each line.

Noindex utility pages

Keep thank-you, download and account pages out of search results and out of the sitemap.

SEO health check

A plain-language check of your settings, sitemap, robots.txt and homepage, sorted into fix now, worth doing and fine to ignore.

Fix social previews

See the card a post makes when shared and set its title, text and image.

Sitemap troubleshooting

Find the rule that keeps a page out of the sitemap and the one change that brings it back.

Things to ask

Paste any of these into Claude or ChatGPT once SiteSEO is connected.

“Write meta descriptions for my posts that don't have one, ten at a time.”
“Keep my thank-you and download pages out of Google.”
“Give me an SEO health check of my site.”
“Why is my new page missing from the sitemap?”

Up and running in three steps

1

Install WPVibe

Add the free WPVibe plugin from WordPress.org to the site running SiteSEO.

2

Connect your AI

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and more. One click to authorize, and no passwords ever go in the chat.

3

Ask in plain English

“Write meta descriptions for my posts that don't have one, ten at a time.”

Verified SiteSEO recipes

Copy-paste playbooks, each one tested on a live SiteSEO install before it ships.

Every SiteSEO ability

SiteSEO registers these with the WordPress Abilities API under the siteseo-posts namespace. Your AI finds them with discover_abilities and calls them with run_ability. WPVibe asks for your approval only when an ability is marked destructive and deletes something or runs code; everything else runs as soon as your AI calls it. Verified means we ran it on a live install of v1.4.2. Registered means a fresh install of v1.4.2 ships it and we have not run it yet.

Requires SiteSEO 1.4.2 or newer on WordPress 6.9 or newer, with an administrator account, and the Abilities - SiteSEO switch turned on under SiteSEO > AI Abilities (that switch only; WPVibe does not need the MCP Adapter or Application Password steps on that page). Tested on SiteSEO 1.4.2 (free).

What we learned testing it

Behavior the ability descriptions do not mention.

  • The abilities are off until you turn on the Abilities - SiteSEO switch at the top of SiteSEO > AI Abilities. Until then nothing from SiteSEO shows up for the AI. With WPVibe that switch is all you need: the MCP Adapter and Application Password steps on that page are for connecting an AI client to WordPress directly.
  • SiteSEO's settings are read only to the AI: it can read the titles, social, advanced, sitemap and analytics settings and tell you what to change, but titles templates, sitemap options and social defaults change in wp-admin. Per-post fields (title, description, robots, canonical, social) the AI can change.
  • In our test on the free plugin, the SEO score came back empty for every post, including one SiteSEO had just analysed, so the AI works from the fields themselves, not a score.
  • SiteSEO keeps each sitemap list for up to 12 hours and rebuilds it when a post is saved. A noindex set through the abilities shows on the page at once, but the page stays in the sitemap until a post of that type is saved; the AI can re-save it without changing its content.
  • A post with no description of its own gets the excerpt or the first words of its content. On a page builder page that can be button labels and a countdown, and a page with no text of its own, as our test site's builder homepage was, sends an empty description tag.
  • Only post types ticked in SiteSEO's sitemap settings are in the sitemap. On our test site products and courses were public but not ticked, so they were never listed.

Verified, and kept that way

Works with AI is WPVibe’s verification program. Every ability marked verified was run on a live SiteSEO install, and we rescan WordPress.org weekly so a release that adds or removes abilities shows up here before it surprises you.
